Aston

 

I was looking for a font the closely looked like Ibanze would of came from.  I ended up finding Aston font.  There is some similarities to the font and the way Ibanze is done.

Game of Thrones

 

I was curious to what identifont would say about this font and they said it is Aquinas. I can see the similarities with the font. The way the letters have the serifs in some spots of the letter and a peek on others.

 

 

 

Castle in the Sky

 

This font is a serif. Idenifont came up with Apollo. I looks to be really close to what the font is being used here in the title of this movie. 

Howls Moving Castle

 

I really like this movie and never really thought about the font that was used.  Just like normal I tried to use the Idenifont and it came up with AES, which is no where close to the font that was used on the cover.  So Identifont isnt totally acurate when it comes to some of the movie titles.  It is a San Serif font i would think that it is closer to Gill Sans, because of the thickness of the font and the way the M is above the base line.

Pen

 

This font is done by a calligraphy pen.  I really like how the letters have a flare on bottom of the letters and also the thin lines.  There is just something about the letters that feels of old times and some of the stuff that my grandpa does.  I know this isnt a typeface but i think it is still special in it own way. You still have to go back to the old ways to see what they did to understand where some of the type faces that we use now a days.

Coffee

 

 

I was looking at the Millstone brand on this box. It is harder to see in the picture then when i looked at the box to take the picture.  This is a serif typeface.  Looking at the font through identifont it tells me that the font is Aldus.  With the way the flares are at the top of the letter and at the bottom of some.  It is readable at this spacing and it would also be readable if it was smaller to. 

The Kraken

 

I saw this bottle sitting at my parents house and thought it was really cool.  I think the small type that is being used on this lable is Azbuka Pro, by using the identifont.com.  Then the bold type is Gotham Bold.  Then lastly the small the is Bickley Script.  When it comes to script type it is kinda hard to pick one that best compares to when you are looking at.  Just because of who close they are to one another and yet different.

Scar Symmetry

This is another group that i listen to.  I like the font that they use because it stands out from other CDs that i have seen.  I think the font that pops up when i use Identifont is Ashley Crawford.  I can see some of the similarities between the two.  The only thing is that this was a made font from a serif group.  It is hard to tell with all the over lapping and cut outs of some of the letters.  This one is a challenge to figure out.

Nightwish

 

I listen to Nightwish and they are a really good group.  I like the font that they use on this cd cover.  I think the font that they used is Lavanderia.  There are smiliar in the letters N and C with the flourish that hey have.  This is a script type font.

Project 1 Esprit Font

 

Esprit

     Esprit was designed by Jovica Veljovic, who was a calligrapher and type designer, in 1985 for ITC.  Jovica Veljovic has been teaching Typograpghy and Type Design, with 35 years of experience as a designer.  Jovica Veljovic has created 10 different fonts.  One of these fonts that he created was Esprit.  Esprit is a blend of classic Roman proportions with a calligrapghy flair.  It is a lively typeface that creates a timeless elegance.  The font was made so you would be able to read it at a small size with the wide proportions and thin strokes. 

Baby

 

The font that i was looking at in this ad was at the top "geeked at birth."  This ad was out of the Game Informer magazine.  I think the font is Old English, with embellishments to some of the letters.  There is many similarities, with the weight of the font.  The calligraphy thin lines that connect the vowels and some of the other letters.
